Manage customers, pauses and chasing eligibility
Understand customer readiness, safely pause or resume chasing, and use bulk controls without repetitive record-by-record work.
DIRECT ANSWER
A customer is eligible only when they have a valid accounts email, confirmed B2B status, chasing enabled and no pause or archive. Workspace members can update up to 100 customers at once from Invoices.
Read customer state
The Contacts list names the exact blocker: email needed, B2B confirmation needed, chasing disabled or paused. Every state includes text; colour is supplementary.
Pause and resume safely
Pause a customer whenever chasing would be inappropriate. Existing invoice cases stop progressing. Resume only after the reason is corrected.
- 1Open the customer or Invoices.
- 2Pause the customer and record context in notes.
- 3Resolve the underlying issue.
- 4Resume and inspect affected invoice cases before the next automation run.
Use bulk operations
Invoices supports B2B confirm/unconfirm, enable/disable, pause/resume and recoverable archive/restore.
- 1Open Invoices and select the intended invoice rows.
- 2Choose one explicit action.
- 3Apply it and verify the success message plus audit entry.
Important: Unconfirming B2B also disables chasing. Archiving pauses and disables the record; restore does not silently reactivate it.
Common questions
Does pausing delete customer data?
No. Pause is reversible and retains contact, invoice and case history.
Can archived contacts be restored?
Yes. Workspace members can restore archived contacts from Invoices. Chasing remains disabled until explicitly reviewed.
